Real mothers come in every shape and size and are as
unique and special as each of their children. It is crazy to think we
will all do everything the same way or be equally skilled or adept in
every area. We don't expect our children to fit preconceived
stereotypes. We shouldn't expect it of ourselves.
Real mothers appreciate their own unique gifts and abilities and realize that different doesn't mean wrong. My husband says, "True, you're more likely to refinish furniture than string beads—but so what?"
Nevertheless, we are all women traveling the same road, and that's why I've grown fond of this link-up of misfits.

DeleteMandi,
ReplyDeleteI usually fit in ok, and keep it pg 13 outwardly...but sometimes my thoughts don't match my actions. For example, when I see an awesome project, like a furniture rehab- I think in my head,"dang girl! You made that chair your b*%#^!" Then I leave a comment that says, " what a lovely chair! Beautiful!"
It's nice to have a place I can let my guard down a little, lol!
You're too funny! But you're oh so right -- we do kinda PG things down, despite what we're thinking.
DeleteI'm already a follower of your lovely blog - I'm just stopping by from the “Think Outside the Blog” blog hop to say thanks for co-hosting.
