Today, I'm a guest over at Mice in the Kitchen, but really quick I want to tell you about Texas Women Bloggers -- I joined just over a week ago and couldn’t be more
excited to be part of this Texas-based community of bloggers in hopes of learning
from others and befriending new and talented friends. If you’re a Texan, please do the honors of joining us – we’d love to have you!
Now for some fun…
Since we are all fairly new to this site and to each other (okay, I
know some of us know each other…) it’d be fun for everyone to answer the same
questions and link up HERE. It’s time to do a self-interview!
Q // What part of the state do
you call home?
A // The Woodlands, TX – Gulf Coast Region
Q // How long have you been
blogging?
A // I’ve journaled most of my life, but online blogging presented
itself to me about 5.5 years ago. My blog, All My Happy Endings, went public
November 2012.
Q // Why did you start blogging?
A // Initially, my blog was nothing more than a means to stay connected
to loved ones across the miles. A method of sharing our goings on, but also a
mode of journaling my experiences and thoughts along the way. My blog has only
become public since November 2012, and it’s morphed into a myriad of topics from
lifestyle, parenting, inspiration, to blogging tips, mama fashion, and
giveaways. But above all, it’s my story.
The name All My Happy Endings
pretty much describes my mission in life – to choose happiness no
matter my circumstance. And to share my deliverance from life’s everyday challenges.
matter my circumstance. And to share my deliverance from life’s everyday challenges.
Q // What do you hope to get out of the Texas Women Bloggers community?
A // I love every sense of community…helping, encouraging, uplifting. I
also love meeting new people and discovering their talents…seeing life through
other perspectives.
Q // Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A // I have a
long way to go to becoming the wife, mother, and friend that I am capable of
being. I will always hold on to a handful of struggles but I know my potential
is great. I want to look back and burst with pride in the milestones and
accomplishments of my husbands and children.
Q // Name 5 things on your Bucket List that you hope you’ll check off before you die?
A // I wrote my bucket
list a couple of years ago. It could use some updating, but HERE
it is anyway.
Q // If you could be known for one thing, what would it be and why?
A // I would like to be remembered for having thwarted the hard times
and the struggles, with love and perseverance. …That I exuded positivity and
encouragement to others despite my own setbacks.
Q // Describe one “wow” moment in your life.
A // Anyone of my children are wow moments. God picked them out
especially for me. I’ve come to realize that all I can do is continue searching
the rest of my days for new ways to tell them the same things – that they’ve
changed me for the better…that they are my most tangible joy…that being their
mother is beyond a blessing. It’s the very thing that my life was meant for.
Q // If you could “be” anything (no consequences, no fear), what would you “be”?
A // This is where my mind races. Here is my chance to “dream the
impossible dream. Don’t blow it!” and I come up empty handed. The first thing
that comes to mind is mission work. For nothing makes me happier than knowing I
am of service to something bigger than myself and my own life. When I can
describe my goings on with meaning and purpose, and it doesn’t just create a
smile on my face but a smile on someone else’s.

Hi Neri! The pleasure is all mine -- I love connecting with new people, and it's much dearer to my heart when they're fellow Texans! Thank you for following here and supporting my blogging endeavor. XOXO
DeleteHi Mandi! Just stopping by to show some blog love. I am not a Texas women blogger but I am from Texas and a Texan at heart! I am actually apart of Arkansas Women Bloggers!
ReplyDeleteVery cool to meet you, April -- thank you for visiting me! Once a Texan, always a Texan...don't you agree?!?
DeleteGirl, I'm not too far from you during the week. I'm currently working in Huntsville during the week. :) We should totally meet up sometime! ;) Welcome to TXWB!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! That would be awesome...you're less than 45 min from where I live. Email me at mandi.hulse2@gmail.com and let's try to find some time to connect in person. I would be honored!
DeleteCan I just say that I LOVE your wow moment - that each of your children were hand picked for you by God. I firmly believe that too! Even with my son that passed away, the 49 days we had with him, I believe we were chosen to be his parent and go through that. :) Glad to have met you!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! You live out here in TX too? I love your last 2 answers to your questions :). Here's to TX women!
