{meet my guest} TEAL VOGUE

I am Kate and I blog over at Teal Vogue. I am so excited to be sponsoring All My Happy Endings this month. I am new to the blogging world but I have already met some wonderful people and I am excited to see what the future holds for my blog! I am studying to become a dentist, so when I am outside of the classroom, I love shopping, makeup, decorating, reading, and spending time with my family and boyfriend.

Q // Why did you start blogging and how did you come up with it’s title?
A // I just started blogging about a month ago, but I have followed blogs for the last two years. I became inspired to write about my decorating, fashion, and just about anything else! The name for this blog was inspired by my middle name, which is Teal, and my favorite magazine, Vogue.

Q // What's your top 5 beauty/health/lifestyle must-haves?
A // I love shopping at Sephora, Ulta, and Target browsing the aisles for anything and everything skin care related. I am also constantly looking for different hair products to keep my hair healthy. This is my makeup regimen for when I am getting ready to go out to a nice dinner or going shopping with my girlfriends. I highly recommend every single one of these products; I love them!

Q // What’s something you like to do to pamper yourself?
A // Manicures, pedicures, and getting my hair done!

Q // Where do you shop?
A // I love to find a good deal! A few of my favorite places to shop are J. Crew, C. Wonder, Forever 21, Anthropologie, Zara, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Gap, Old Navy, TJ Maxx, and Target!

Q // Briefly identify something unique about you.
A // My boyfriend, C and I have been together for five years! C plays college basketball and I am his number one fan! And yes…he is extremely tall…6’10!

You can keep up with Kate on all of her social sites…

The best days are the ones where there isn’t a single scribble on the calendar.
Long mornings in pj’s.
We ignore the rest of the world while we devour cookies at 10am because no good cartoon should be enjoyed without chocolate goodness.
We roll miniature cars down the slide, and make animal sounds as we crawl around the floor.
We make up silly songs and dance in the kitchen while lunch heats up.
And somewhere between giggles and our cat spazzing around the house, we get sleepy.
Then retreat to your room where you pick your 3 favorite books and throw them in my lap. I cringe at your choices, but it’s ok.
We plop in that big, cozy recliner…and rock away, reading the same 3 books 10 times or more.
I put my all into every word, making different voices for all of the characters. I listen to you laugh and question and even start making up your own version of the story.
You snuggle in closer and I squeeze you tighter.
Sometimes I forget how wonderful it is to just sink my everything into a single moment with you; to forget the ”to do” lists floating in my mind that forces me to rapidly whip through book pages.
These stories, the ones you love to get swept up in,  lose their emotion,  their vitality, and their whimsical way of sparking your imagination all because I’ve got something do to the minute I finish this book.
But on these days, all we have is time together.
These moments center me and reminds me what is most important.
This is my favorite time with you.
A Momma and her son.

Looking for something a little more inspiring to give your dad/husband this year for Father's Day?  I completely understand-  I've given my dad more restaurant gift certificates and DVDs than I can stand!  In my hunt to find him something unexpected, I came across Datevitation -- an exceptional gift idea for the guy or gal who has everything!

Essentially, Datevitation is a coupon passbook filled with personalized dates and/or special favors. You get to choose amidst 350+ date ideas for just about every occasion, every gender, and every age.

Datevitation is a family business run by the husband-wife team of Alex and Olga Karpman.  You can get to know them on the Datevitation blog, where they offer video guides to date ideas and romantic gestures. You can even watch Alex propose to Olga in a video they posted on Youtube as a Save The Date, and now has over 1,000,000 views (you can view the video here)!

In case you missed it HERE, I celebrated my wedding anniversary this month with my beloved. The 1st year wedding anniversary theme is paper, so a coupon book from Datevitiation couldn’t have been more suitable!

{affiliate post} SIBU BEAUTY

I have to admit, I am always skeptical about trying new beauty products. In my 35 years of experience, and after have experimented in a plethora of beauty products, I have discovered brands that are good to me and become a devoted fan. Primarily due to sensitivity. And of course, the idea of breakouts and allergic reactions just scare me.

However! Sibu Beauty contacted me and asked me to review one of their products. I skeptically responded back and chose to review the Sea Buckthorn Rejuvenating Night Cream, designed to protect and repair your skin’s natural lipid barrier and reduce lines and wrinkles.

I don’t know about you, but I can usually tell in the first couple of days whether a product is going to work for me. My skin will let me know. And well, I’ve been using the Sibu Beauty night cream for 3+ weeks and truly feel a sense of devotion! I would not steer you wrong, my friend – if I don’t truly stand behind this product, it would not be mentioned here on my blog.

I have never met a moisturizer that absorbed into my skin as well as the Sea Buckthorn Rejuvenating Night Cream. Previously used moisturizers remain sticky to the touch long after I’ve prepped myself for bed. My face no longer sticks to the pillow case after having applied the Sea Buckthorn Rejuvenating Night Cream. Secondly, the cream has a pleasantly light citris scent. And most importantly, my face feels hydrated and supple upon waking.

An additional plus: it’s 100% vegan! Meaning its cruelty free + no wheat, gluten, dairy, or preservatives.

Good morning! Writing here has sure wakened up a part of my soul. I sincerely hope that you find comfort and interest and community here. I’m enjoying my spiritual friendship with you, and learning each and every day what that really means. Still, I question if I have the grace to be who I am, and the tenderness to be what you need?

This time of year represents transition for a lot of you – graduations, weddings, the end of school, the beginning of something new. Maybe you’re grieving a loss, a move, a heartbreak. Maybe you’re asking what in the world is going on in your own life. No matter the circumstance, rehearse the things you know for sure – nothing can separate you from Christ’s love.

+ With that being said, #PrayForOklahoma.

+ Our plate has been quite full, also. Every weekend has been filled with travel, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and the like. You might have read about my anniversary HERE and saw the first take HERE of our trip to Cocoa Beach, FL. In fact, I’ve decided to start posting Wordless Wednesday again – the next 6-8 weeks are locked and loaded with photos with some of our recent adventures. I sure hope you enjoy them!
I had a couple of guests visit me this week – did you meet Kenzie and Andrea? Do yourself a favor and get acquainted with these two beautiful hearts. Personally, I’m so grateful they came into my life.

+ I shared a real treat with you HERE – a way to make money shopping. This is not a joke. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity, which is totally free to you!

+ Speaking of shopping, Sundays are now dedicated to ‘things’ I’m loving right now – products, clothes, styles, etc  -- a sequence of posts I’m calling Lovely Little Things. Click HERE to view the 1st post of the series. Of course, however, you can always find me on Pinterest HERE and view my real-time pinnings.

+ Oh, and don't miss this Nordstrom gift card giveaway I'm co-hosting with Pink on the Cheek!

+ Have you heard of Zulily yet? I mean, of course you have. I’m certain to be the one falling behind the times. Well, there’s something for everyone – phone cases, diapers from the Honest Co., rugs even, to maternity and kids’ apparel. There’s a new sale every day on boutique brands, though most of them last only 72 hours.

Have a exciting, and safe, Memorial Day weekend, lovelies!
