We have a little Saturday morning ritual, this family of mine. After wrestling around in bed, we head out for morning coffee to Black Walnut CafĂ© in nearby Woodlands for takeaway coffee and delicious eggs and potatoes, cooked on a greasy grill. Reef walks around making friends with customers and staff. He’s so content to crawl up on the cushy chairs and people watch, waving at those who make eye contact with him. It gives Pete and I a few precious minutes to kick back and sip our coffee. Then we take turns chasing Reef down the paths outside, until he’s had enough and it's time to go home. It's such a lovely, relaxed start to our weekend. I love Saturdays!
What is your Saturday morning ritual? If you don't have one, imagine one up and share it.

I love how the menu is bigger than him! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteNo exciting Saturday morning ritual here: just sleeping in for as long as I can, followed by morning pillow talk with the other half, until we finally drag ourselves out of bed. :)
Isn't he funny? He just plopped his little booty in the chair and acted as though he was reading. Monkey see, monkey do.
DeletePillow talk is lovely -- embrace that. It's good to be loving with the other half.
Thanks for visiting me!
I love going out to breakfast on the weekends!
ReplyDeleteI like it, too. It's better than going out at night, personally.
DeleteThat picture is sooo adorable! Our summer ritual is to get up and hit the beach to grab a volleyball court. Otherwise, no real ritual here! Just some coffee and sunshine :).
ReplyDeleteAmy, I miss me some beach volleyball. I used to play that a lot. All through my adolescent years and into my 20's. My most favorite past time! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCute picture! Saturday mornings are usually us making mini pancakes for our 17 month old. Chasing after her around the house and when the weather is warm, chasing after her outside! We drink ALOT of coffee!
ReplyDeleteKaren, that sounds heavenly. Simple enough that you can taste the sweetness in the moments, wouldn't you agree?! XOXO
DeleteWhat a great tradition. He'll remember that when he's older, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up over at Tales of a Pee Dee Mama
And thank YOU, too! I hope he remembers, but if not, that's why we have these wonderful blogs scrapbooks, right?! Please visit often -- love having you here!
DeleteHe's so cute! What a great picture of him with the huge menu. So many options I'm sure! Thanks for stopping by Eight Days a Week :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you in return, Savannah -- it means the world having you visit my little corner of the Internet. Comments are treasured -- it's a sacrifice of one's time and I am grateful for it!
DeleteAwh that is darling! What a fun tradition. :)

Michelle, I am honored. Not just a little...A LOT. I could hug your neck for being so good to me. I love the people I am encountering in this blogging community. My only regret is not having done it sooner. XOXO
DeleteHe is sooo absolutely precious! This is the cutest picture, too.

When I see your name, I refer to you (in my head) as "ex-teen." Your stand out amongst the rest. ,) Thanks for the compliments! XOXO
DeleteAdorable photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat ritual.
Aw, thank you! He's a riot!
DeleteNEW FOLLOWER. Very nice blog.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I have a Saturday morning ritual LOL. I sleep in till 7 which is better than 5:30. I take a little bit more time to enjoy my computer. Then it's off to take care of normal day to day responsibilities.
ReplyDeleteSleeping in should never be under-rated -- it's a blessing! With a baby, I miss those small provileges.
DeleteThanks for commenting. Moreso, thanks for taking the time to visit me! XOXO
Sounds like an amazing tradition. Your son will remember it for years.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right. It's simple and rather uneventful, but it's what we do. And for now, it's enjoyable. Thanks for visiting me here -- it means the world!
DeleteOh my goodness, what a sweet picture! Sounds like a fun tradition :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jayda (what a pretty name)! It's a simple tradition, but it's what we like to do before getting our weekend started. Love to you for visiting me! XOXO
