{meet my guest} MY PRETTY CHIC BOUTIQUE

I'm originally from Cajun country in Louisiana.  After moving around a bit, I now live in Spring, TX with my husband of 16 years and my 13 year old twins.

As a little girl I used to pick up rocks that I thought were pretty from everywhere I went, even gravel parking lots.  When I was in high school, I took gemology classes at Rollins College because I wanted to know everything about stones. About 5 years ago, my mom gave me some tools and a beginner's jewelry class as a birthday gift. After that, I was hooked. I've always loved stones but now, I can actually do something with them.  It was a perfect fit.

After a few years of making jewelry for friends and family, I was encouraged to try and sell my creations.  I opened my shop on Etsy in November 2011 and My Pretty Chic Boutique was born. I want to give everyone the opportunity to own unique yet affordable pieces.

I love working with gemstones and lampwork glass beads in my creations.  Most of all, though, I love making unique pieces no matter the media.  Most of what I make is either one of a kind or only a very few are made due to the uniqueness of the components. For example, all of the lampwork glass earrings I have for sale in my shop right now are one of a kind because the glass beads were handmade by local artisans in pairs. I think jewelry makes us feel pretty and every girl needs that.

I worked at Walt Disney World in high school. The importance of excellent customer service was one of the most valuable things I learned there.  It really was an experience that helped to shape my view of the world.
