A LIGHT IN THE DARK

Daily, I feel provoked to take a few steps forward in hopes that tomorrow's yesterday will be better than today's. I yearn for change, yet I want everything else to change around me. I want people to change. I want situations to change. I find myself not wanting to change, but expecting changed circumstances. It just goes to show what an innate self-centered nature lies deep within us whether we are conscious of it or not.

Our thoughts are powerful. And I’m beginning to believe more and more that our thoughts can influence how we act and/or react to situations. Additionally, our thoughts can directly and indirectly influence the situation itself.

An energy of sorts that we emit into the world. Negative thoughts emit negative energy. And vice versa.

(And here goes my rant again on living with gratitude.)

We have the ability to change our negative circumstances into strength, power, peace, health and abundance just by thinking it. How awesome is that?!

It all begins with gratitude. Opting to see the light even in the darkest of situations.

  2. This is so true. I am really working hard on this very thing right now to bring about change in my life. I know my thinking will change everything. Thanks for the reminder and enforcement. Kristen @ One in 1 Hundred

    1. It's equally as much of a reminder for me as it is for you. I'm not always the best at positive thinking, but I think I'm getting better at it.

I appreciate your comment, Kristen -- xoxo

  3. How true that is. I have the same selfish desires with change. I want a more financial stability, so I wish for a pay raise. Instead I should just rework my budget and set up a savings account. Thanks for the reality check today!

    1. You're so right, Amanda! I tend to wish the same...thinking more money will make things easier. But when I re-evaluate our spending, there is entirely too many frivolous restaurant outings.

  7. Your so right, when times are kind of difficult how you look at things really does make it easier. If you decide to wallow in the problem its going to be so much worse, if you start looking for good things that are going on around you during the problem, you'll find them.
