SATURDAY MORNING RITUAL

We have a little Saturday morning ritual, this family of mine. After wrestling around in bed, we head out for morning coffee to Black Walnut CafĂ© in nearby Woodlands for takeaway coffee and delicious eggs and potatoes, cooked on a greasy grill. Reef walks around making friends with customers and staff. He’s so content to crawl up on the cushy chairs and people watch, waving at those who make eye contact with him. It gives Pete and I a few precious minutes to kick back and sip our coffee. Then we take turns chasing Reef down the paths outside, until he’s had enough and it's time to go home. It's such a lovely, relaxed start to our weekend. I love Saturdays!

What is your Saturday morning ritual? If you don't have one, imagine one up and share it.

  1. I love how the menu is bigger than him! Adorable!

No exciting Saturday morning ritual here: just sleeping in for as long as I can, followed by morning pillow talk with the other half, until we finally drag ourselves out of bed. :)

    1. Isn't he funny? He just plopped his little booty in the chair and acted as though he was reading. Monkey see, monkey do.

Pillow talk is lovely -- embrace that. It's good to be loving with the other half.

      Thanks for visiting me!

    1. I like it, too. It's better than going out at night, personally.

  3. That picture is sooo adorable! Our summer ritual is to get up and hit the beach to grab a volleyball court. Otherwise, no real ritual here! Just some coffee and sunshine :).

  4. Amy, I miss me some beach volleyball. I used to play that a lot. All through my adolescent years and into my 20's. My most favorite past time! Enjoy!

  5. Cute picture! Saturday mornings are usually us making mini pancakes for our 17 month old. Chasing after her around the house and when the weather is warm, chasing after her outside! We drink ALOT of coffee!

  13. I am not sure I have a Saturday morning ritual LOL. I sleep in till 7 which is better than 5:30. I take a little bit more time to enjoy my computer. Then it's off to take care of normal day to day responsibilities.
